Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers are limiting hours for four clinics that have experienced a decreased in patient volume in recent weeks.
Immediate Care and Convenient Care clinics will receive temporary hour changes, according to the Morris Herald-News. Clinics in Channahon, Diamond-Coal City, Morris and Yorkville will see the changes.
Morris Hospital Ridge Road Campus in Channahon will be open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon. Morris Hospital Diamond-Coal City Campus and Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center on Gore Road in Morris will have the same hour changes.
The Morris Hospital Yorkville Campus will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays, and will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
The clinics have been open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, but are only caring for those with minor injuries or sicknesses, according to the Herald-News.
Anyone with respiratory illness is not allowed for in-person visits, but can consult with a doctor through video or over the phone. Current patients the clinics are taking are individuals with cuts, sprains, earaches, asthma, headaches, back issues, bites, rashes, stings, irritation in the eye, allergic reactions, infections and other non-COVID-19 related injuries and illnesses. Safety measures are being implemented at all clinics during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Safety has always been a top priority for our organization,” Dr. Charlotte Albinson, medical director of Immediate Care and Occupational Medicine at Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers, told the Herald-News. “We’ve added many additional safety measures over the past several weeks so that we can continue to provide essential services to the community while making our patients feel safe. We don’t want people to miss or avoid getting the care that they might need.”
