City of Peru Committee of a Whole met March 2.

A Committee Of A Whole meeting was called to order by Mayor Scott J. Harl in the Peru City Council Chambers on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
City Clerk Dave Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Ferrari, Waldorf, Lukosus, Radtke, Sapienza, Payton, Ballard and Buffo present; Mayor Harl present.
PRESENTATION
Mr. Perry Maier, Census Program Director for the Northwest region addressed the committee to discuss the following:
• Need for everyone to comply, answer only 9 questions as it impacts federal funding.
• $1.2 billion of potential lost revenue based on just a 1% inaccurate count
• Encouraged council to promote census
• Everyone counts
• Impacts our representation with congressional sector
MINUTES
Mayor Harl presented the Committee Of A Whole Minutes of February 17, 2020. Alderman Ferrari made a motion that the minutes be received and placed on file. Alderman Buffo seconded the motion; motion carried.
PRESENTATION
ADJOURNMENT
Alderman Radtke made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Alderman Waldorf seconded the motion and motion carried.
