Analysis: Spring Valley pays $4.01 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Spring Valley Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.1 percent of the $292,208 the Spring Valley Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.01 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Spring Valley contributed $233,966 to the fund, which saw a $12,085 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $58,242, or 19.9 percent, in 2018.
