Analysis: Princeton pays $2.29 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Princeton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 69.7 percent of the $385,831 the Princeton Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.29 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Princeton contributed $268,863 to the fund, which saw a $37,845 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $116,968, or 30.3 percent, in 2018.
