Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in LaSalle County?

There were 27 offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in LaSalle County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Illinois Valley Times.

The data shows that 19 men and eight women were released in LaSalle County. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 61-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jeffrey O. Correa. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2008 when he was 20 years old. He is now 31.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2019 in each LaSalle County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
