PRINCETON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: United Way Launches Virtual School Supply Drive

Backtoschool

Princeton Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.

United Way of Greater Mercer County is seeking help from companies and individuals for its Virtual School Supply Drive, which will provide students with the essential tools needed to succeed in any classroom — either in school or virtually from home.

The drive seeks to benefit struggling families in Mercer County to alleviate the budget strains on families for whom providing these necessities to their children can be a financial hardship. United Way is collecting the following school supplies: hand sanitizer, masks, backpacks, binders, filler paper, pocket folders, composition and spiral notebooks, pencils, erasers, pens, highlighters, crayons, scissors, and more. The supplies will benefit Better Beginnings, RISE, Jewish Family and Children’s Service, and Princeton YMCA.

United Way has made your virtual support easy! Through a partnership with YouGiveGoods, donors can make an online purchase of supplies that will be delivered automatically to the United Way partner organization. Make a donation by visiting www.uwgmc.org/virtualschooldrive.

For more information about the United Way Virtual School Supply Drive, contact Denise Daniels at Denise.Daniels@uwgmc.org or 609-896-1912 ext 4903.
