Magnolia FD responds to nine fires in 2018

Magnolia Fire District responded to 11 calls in 2018 - 22.2 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Magnolia included nine fires - five structure fires, two vehicle fires and two other fires.

In all, the department saw $90,000 in fire loss - or about $10,000 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury. Additionally, three fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents.

The Magnolia Fire District had an annual budget of $81,861 in 2018.
