Marseilles Fire Protection District responded to 64 calls in 2018 - 3.2 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Marseilles included 53 fires - 18 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 33 other fires.

In all, the department saw $413,600 in fire loss - or about $7,804 per fire.

The department also received 11 false calls.

The calls resulted in two civilian fire-related deaths. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.

The Marseilles Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $693,360 in 2018.
