Spring Valley Fire District responded to 53 calls in 2018 - 8.6 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Spring Valley included 24 fires - 15 structure fires, four vehicle fires and five other fires.

The department also received 29 false calls.
