City of Oglesby issued the following announcement on Oct. 18.
The water main break on East Walnut Street has been restored. Due to the water main pressure not dropping below 20 psi, and the city workers alongside contractors being able to patch the leak while live yet, no boil order will be required. Street department is finishing the street with a gravel overlay for tonight yet that will be safe to drive over. During the week street department will work to match a final asphalt overlay for our downtown district. A huge thank you to all the workers for taking the vast majority of their Sunday to rectify this break.
