City of Princeton Fire Pension Board Met Oct. 16.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
• Meeting called to order by President Berlin at 0834. Members present are as followed: President Bryan Berlin, Secretary Jerod Doty, Board Member Nick Dykstra, Board Member Gary Hanna, and Shields Capitol Investment Advisor Bill Yocious.
• Secretary Report was presented for review by Secretary Doty.
o There were no additions or corrections presented. There was a Motion presented by Board Member Hanna to accept the Secretary Report as presented, 2nd by Board Member Dykstra. Approved unanimously.
Old Business:
• Ryan Molln 2020 physical disability report was presented to the board as required. Motion by board member Hanna to accept the report as presented, 2nd by Secretary Doty. Approved unanimously.
• President Berlin presented and filed all current training certifications as required.
• There was open discussion on Lauterbach and Amen. The City Manager is looking at a replacement options for the future due to the enduring cost of the provided services to the City of Princeton. City Manager Theresa Wittenauer stated to President Berlin that all accrued expenses from Lauterbach and Amen would be totaled and split 50/50 at the end of the calendar year between the City of Princeton and the Princeton Fire Department Pension Fund.
New Business:
• A Qildro for Pension Fund member Cory Leigh was presented. Motion by Secretary Doty to accept the Qildro as presented, 2nd by Board Member Hanna. Approved unanimously.
• The Consolidated Pension Fund Board Members have been nominated.
• The tax disbursement amounts were presented by President Berlin in the amounts of $335,990 and $223,904 totaling $559,894.
• Motion by Secretary Doty to move $400,000 to the TD Ameritrade account from the BMO Harris checking account, 2nd by Board Member Dykstra. Approved unanimously.
• There is a bill due to the IPPFA in the amount of $795. Motion by Secretary Doty to pay the bill in the amount presented, 2nd by Board Member Dykstra. Approved unanimously.
• There will be a second PFIF training on 11/10/20 at 1000. All Board Members are required to attend.
• The AFFI Pension Training will be held online on 10/27/20 from 1330-1700 and on 10/28/20 from 0900-1400. All Board Members are required to attend.
• The 2020 MCR was completed and presented. Motion by Board Member Hanna to accept the report as presented, 2nd by Secretary Doty. Approved unanimously.
Investment Report:
• Investment Advisor Bill Yocious presented the 3rd quarter investment report. Motion by Secretary Doty to accept the report as presented, 2nd by President Berlin. Approved unanimously.
Adjournment:
• Motion by Board Member Hanna to adjourn at 0906, 2nd by Secretary Doty. Approved unanimously.
