City of Ottawa issued the following announcement on Feb. 21.
The City of Ottawa has been advised the 300 block of Congress Street (between Shabbona and Division Streets) will be closed to all traffic beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Tree contractors and Ameren will be in that block for a tree removal and expect the work to take most of the day.
Those needing to travel in that area on Thursday are asked to make plans in advance for using alternate routes until the block can be reopened.
