City of Ottawa issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.
The City of Ottawa Public Works Department reports contractors for emergency sewer repair work in the intersection of LaSalle and West Main Streets will begin at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021. The center and east lanes for southbound vehicles in the 600 block of LaSalle Street will be closed to all traffic from that block to Veterans Memorial Bridge. Only the west lane will remain open. No LaSalle Street traffic will be allowed to turn east onto the 100 block of West Main. The 100 block of West Main will also be closed to traffic from LaSalle Street east to Court Street. Court Street and West Main Street from Columbus to Court will remain open to traffic and parking.
The closures are expected to remain in place 24 hours a day until at least Saturday, February 27, 2021. Drivers are reminded to use extreme caution when needing to travel in the area of the intersection closure and be prepared for time delays.
