Mayor Rivara points out there is an error on page 3 of the accounts payable register and no check has been issued to the City of Highland as there was an error on their part.

A Motion Was Made By Argubright, Seconded By Lijewski to approve 1149-011821 an Ordinance abating taxes levied for the year 2020, payable in the year 2021, to pay debt service on general obligation refunding bonds, series 2020A. Ayes: Argubright, Cullinan, Curran, Lijewski, Rivara
A Motion Was Made By Curran, Seconded By Lijewski to approve Ordinance 1150-011821 authorizing the execution of an agreement for study of services between the City of Oglesby and Ameren Illinois Company. Ayes: Argubright, Cullinan, Curran, Lijewski, Rivara.
A Motion Was Made By Lijewski, Seconded By Argubright to give a recommendation to the Oglesby Board of Fire and Police Commissioners to promote to the rank of Sergeant, within the Oglesby Police Department. Ayes: Argubright, Cullinan, Curran, Lijewski, Rivara.
Commissioner Lijewski explains with Sergeant Padilla leaving there is now an opening. A Sergeant was promoted who currently works in the Trident division. The next Patrolman in line would be Officer Gonzalez.
A Motion Was Made By Lijewski, Seconded By to approve the authorization of a purchase of a new vehicle for the Oglesby Police Department using Trident funds. Ayes: Argubright, Cullinan, Curran, Lijewski, Rivara.
Commissioner Lijewski states that with the 12/29/2020 incident the department is now down one vehicle. The truck, which Argubright questions the cost of ($27,000.00) will take place of one of the damaged squad cars.

Argubright: none
Lijewski: states there are reports of vandalism at McPhedran Park with porta-potties being tipped over. There are also rumors that there are individuals drinking in the public parks. Commissioner Lijewski spoke with Chief Hayse and extra patrols will be done. Commissioner Lijewski discusses the details of the COVID 19 vaccine. Who is eligible and where and how to sign up. Commissioner Lijewski also states that Region 2 has now moved into Tier 1 and gives information as to what changes that entails. Commissioner Lijewski reminds everyone to be safe.
Curran: none
Cullinan: has received complaints of people being on the ice at McPhedran Park also.
Mayor’s report: City Hall will open to the public on February 1, 2021. The sealed bids for the two city trucks will be opened at 10:00 a.m. on February 1, 2021.
