The City will not have to purchase them until January 2025 due to the size of the city’s population. A blood drive will be held at the Dickinson House in the near future. The fire department had 13 call outs. The ambulance had 58 calls, of which 25 were transfers. The police departments had 19 cases, 6 accidents and 4 warrants. There was criminal damage to the laundry mat and burglary to a car in a garage. The police department is waiting for the equipment to come in for the new truck (which is taking a while). Shelby Pellino will be with the field training officer until the end of March. There is a police officer who was injured and will be off work for a while. Evan Duttlinger is the officer of the month.
Curran: The REBUILD Illinois grant is now delayed until the 2nd quarter. Motor fuel tax funds are projected to be used to repave the Dickinson House parking lot. The electrical outage last week was not the city’s fault. The city is hoping that the study that was and the recent outage will help to obtain a second feed into the city.
