City of Lasalle issued the following announcement on Apr. 23.
Mayor Jeff Grove proclaimed May as Motorcycle Awareness Month in the City of La Salle. Mayor Grove also took the opportunity to remind residents that leaving or blowing grass clippings in the street can create a hazard for motorcycles as well as create sewer system issues.
City Engineer Brown also updated the public that the Path to Prairie Lake has 50% of the earthwork complete. It was noted that ATVs and side-by-sides were noticed in the area and Mayor Grove reminded all residents those vehicles are not allowed to operate there or at any City park.
A later conversation was had about pursuing an ordinance allowing ATVs or golf carts elsewhere in La Salle. The conversation will continue at future Council meetings.
