On July 8, Hernandez Arthur and Hernandez Sheri purchased a home at 160 N. Garfield St., Coal City from Melvin Dean Lindep (executor) and Melvin Brenda Kaye (deceased) for $175,000.

The amount paid for property taxes on this property in 2018 was $2,918.34, 1.67% of the sale price of the home.

This property is one of nine sales so far in Coal City in July 2021.

According to the Illinois State Board of Elections, there were two registered voters residing at 160 N. Garfield St. as of Oct. 10, 2020: Roger E. Melvin, 81, and Brenda K. Melvin, 78.
