City of LaSalle Finance Committee Met June 28.

ROLL CALL
Present: Chairman Ptak, Aldermen Demes, Jeppson, Lavieri, Herndon
Excused Absence: None
Others Present: Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Aldermen Bacidore, Reynolds, Superintendent of Public Works Patrick Watson, Treasurer Virginia Kochanowski, Finance Director John Duncan, Economic Development Director Leah Inman
A quorum was present.
Moved by Alderman Herndon and seconded by Alderman Lavieri to approve and place on file the minutes of the Finance Committee for June 7, 2021. Each and every aldermen has a copy.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Moved by Alderman Demes and seconded by Alderman Jeppson to approve and place on file the minutes of the Finance Committee for June 14, 2021. Each and every aldermen has a copy.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Alderman Demes questioned a bill in regards to LaSalle Police, Body and Fender. There were a couple police vehicles that were brought in recently for damage repair and there will be insurance reimbursements for that bill.
Aldermen Demes also wanted to acknowledge the police department for alternating throughout the city to use different repair shops for vehicle repairs.
Aldermen Lavieri wanted to acknowledge the Water Department for the decrease in their overtime from last month.
The Finance Director Duncan mentioned that the June 7 budget and appropriations minutes will be posted to the public and will be approved at the next meeting in two weeks.
Chairman Ptak expressed his concern with the location of the mural tiles that will be approved during the City Council meeting. The committee agreed that it would be wise to state some conditions to Christie Pasieka once she has finalized the location of the mural.
There were no more questions or comments from the public. Chairman Ptak adjourned the meeting at 6:14 p.m.
