PROCLAMATION

Proclaiming Thursday, Sept. 17 through Wednesday, Sept. 23 as Constitution Week in La Salle.

PETITIONS

Request from Ameren Illinois to break ground at First and Gooding streets to repair bad underground electric and related matters.

Request for a 2021 Raffle License from St. Margaret’s Foundation and related matters.

Request from Meredith Donahue on behalf of the Crossbridge Community Church to hold a Tag Day Collection on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 at Save-a-Lot, 802 Joliet Street, and related matters.

Request from Designs & Signs on behalf of IVCIL to install two non-illuminated, single facing wall signs at 18 Gunia Drive and related matters.

Request from Christie Pasieka of Starved Rock Rentals, LLC to extend her previously approved artisan market to include from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 23 in the city owned parking lot east of 552 First Street or 540 First Street as availability allows and related matters.

Treasurer’s Report for August 2021 showing total cash balances in La Salle State Bank of $12,253,885.24 and in Hometown National Bank of $4,885,616.31.

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Finance Committee regarding a request from Gary Curtin for a Redevelopment Incentive Program grant totaling $900 for premises located at 137-143 Gooding Street and related matters.

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Finance Committee regarding a request from Garrett Mecagni for a Redevelopment Incentive Program grant totaling $2,025 for premises located at 854 First Street and related matters.

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Finance Committee regarding the replacement of an emergency generator at the City’s Fire Station and related matters related matters.

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Finance Committee regarding to hold a City vehicle and small equipment sealed bid sale and related matters.

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Finance Committee regarding the purchase of a heavy-duty sectional snow pusher and quick mount for the City’s John Deere 524P Wheel Loader and related matters.

SPECIAL COMMITTEES

Recommendation and potential action of the Zoning Board of Appeals regarding the petition of Jean and Jerry Roberson for a variance regarding replacement and extension of and use of a 6 ½’ x 4 ¼’ patio/porch which will include, but not necessarily be limited to, reducing the east side yard setback requirement from 5 feet to 2 feet to allow the patio/porch to be constructed at 522 Lafayette Street, and further involving such other variances and/or exceptions as may be reasonable, necessary and appropriate in reference to the construction of a patio at the subject premises and related matters.

APPOINTMENTS

OLD BUSINESS

Authorization of Pay Estimate #2 and Final to Tieman Builders, Inc. totaling $22,627.52 for work completed to date on the Rotary Park Phase III – Shelter Installation project and related matters.

Authorization of Pay Estimate #4, Alternate Bid, to Ski Sealcoat & Maintenance totaling $94,183.59 for work completed to date on the 2021 DCEO Sewer Separation project and related matters.

Authorization of Pay Estimate #4 and Final to Ski Sealcoat & Maintenance totaling $127,915.29 for work completed to date on the 2021 DCEO Sewer Separation project and related matters.

NEW BUSINESS

Discussion and potential action regarding capital improvements and maintenance of the water treatment plant operation including, but not being limited to, potential conversion from chlorine gas to sodium hypochlorite and related matters.

ORDINANCES/RESOLUTIONS

An Ordinance amending the La Salle City Code, Chapters 36: City Policy and amending Ordinance Number 2049 regarding meetings and procedures for remote participation and related matters.

An Ordinance allowing waiver and variance to Billard regarding sewer ejection pump provision in Sewer Ordinance 2157 and related matters.

An Ordinance amending Chapter 91 of the La Salle City Code, Nuisances, to further more specifically regulate the City’s Yard Waste Site and related matters.

An Ordinance authorizing variance concerning premises as requested by Jean Roberson and Jerry Roberson regarding premises at 522 Lafayette Street within the City of La Salle (To reduce setback regarding patio/porch) and related matters.

COMMENTS

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Regarding pending and/or potentially imminent litigation and related matters: Collective bargaining and related matters, and acquisition and/or sale of city real estate and related matters and the employment, discipline, appointment, performance and/or compensation of non-union and/or union personnel and related matters pursuant to the Open Meetings Act including 5-ILCS 120 Section 2(c)1-2,5,6,11 thereof.
