City of La Salle Finance Committee met Aug. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

ROLL CALL

Present: Chairman Ptak, Aldermen Demes, Lavieri, Jeppson, Herndon

Excused Absence: NONE

Others Present: Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Alderman Bacidore, Alderman Reynolds

A quorum was present.

Moved by Alderman Herndon and seconded by Alderman Jeppson to approve and place on file the minutes of the Finance Committee for July 26, 2021.

Each and every alderman has a copy.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Alderman Demes questioned a bill from John Pohar. Alderman Demes wanted to verify that it was for the work being done at 5th & Bucklin for a sinkhole. Chairman Ptak confirmed that bill.

Moved by Alderman Demes and seconded by Alderman Lavieri to deny the request from Mendota Area Senior Services for a $1,000 donation for funding assistance following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Moved by Chairman Ptak to approve the request from Robert Donovan for a Redevelopment Incentive Program grant totalling $525 for premises located at 828 First St.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Moved by Chairman Ptak to approve the request from Robert Donovan for a Redevelopment Incentive Program grant totaling $1,575 for premises located at 848 First St.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Moved by Chairman Ptak to approve the request from Mike Bird for a Redevelopment Incentive Program grant totaling $12,500 for premises located at 459 First St.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

There were no more questions or comments from the public.

Chairman Ptak adjourned the meeting at 6:07 p.m.
