City of LaSalle Finance Committee met Oct. 4.

ROLL CALL
Present: Chairman Ptak, Aldermen Demes, Lavieri, Jeppson, Herndon Others Present: Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Superintendent of Public Works Patrick Watson, Alderman Jerry Reynolds, Fire Chief Jerry Janick
A quorum was present.
Moved by Alderman Demes and seconded by Alderman Lavieri to approve and place on file the minutes of the Finance Committee for September 20, 2021. Each and every alderman has a copy.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Alderman Jeppson questioned the two charges from Wintergreen Corporation for $5,148.00 and $673.00. Deputy Clerk Bader verified through text with Finance Director John Duncan that the charges were for Christmas lights for the Rotary displays. The Christmas funds will be used to pay for those two invoices.
Alderman Jeppson asked about a $14,000 fee under the unpaid Invoices, Water Dept, Engineering fees for Donahue. Supt Patrick Watson confirmed it was for either 9th St. Project or Well #13.
Doc Lavieri asked about the raffle license for Haze Smokehouse. He stated that they did not mention if it is for a fundraiser or not. The application is for nonprofits and does not specify. Alderman Lavieri questioned if the charity should be the one applying for the license, not the business.
There were no more questions or comments from the public.
Chairman Ptak adjourned the meeting at 6:10 p.m.
