Approval of Minutes

● August 9, 2021

o Tracy Mitchell made a motion to approve August 9, 2021 minutes. Larry Bauer seconded the motion.

Public Questions and Comments

● Ben Potts discussed a complaint he had received about the Flags in town. Ben Potts gave the board prices on different Flags that could be purchased. Flags will be discussed at another meeting.

Planning Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals – N/A

Maintenance Department

● Ben Potts discussed that the signs for Evergreen came in, and will be put up this week.

Building and Zoning Department – N/A

Police Department – N/A

Streets and Alleys Committee

● Kari Thompson discussed she would be meeting with Dave Tyson, on September 22 to discuss the first block on Fourth Ave.

● Kari Thompson discussed that the Fourth Ave project time frame was extended to October 15.

Water and Sewer Committee

● Discussed Water & Sewer

o Larry Bauer made a motion to have the water report put in the minutes. Kari Thompson seconded the motion. This report can be viewed at the town office.

▪ On a call of votes motion passed 6 - 0

● Ben Potts discussed radios being replaced vs hardwired to save money on replacing radios.

● Ben Potts discussed making an appointment with IRWA Pipe Inspection, to use their camera, to find a water leak. This is a free service to the town that he can use

● Ben Potts discussed purchasing Tower Near Sewer Plant not to exceed $3,500.00. Discussed the internet can be run off of this tower for the Sewer, Library, Maintenance Shop, and any other Municipal Building in the Village, which then would save the town money. Randy Gigl discussed finding out the rights for the tower, and having it ready for the next meeting.

Ordinance and Zoning Committee

● Krystle Sifrit Discussed UTV/ATV’s will have a town Ordinance added, separate from the Golf Cart Ordinance.

● Krystle Sifrit made a Motion not to exceed $3000.00 for 3rd & Evergreen speed controls, speed bumps, or rumble strips.

Local Improvement Committee

● Paul Hess made a motion not to exceed $34,000.00 on two 61” John Deere Mowers. Tracy Mitchell seconded the motion.

● Motion passes 6 - 0

● Discussed Christmas Decorations, email will be sent out and anyone who wants to donate to the decorations can stop at the town office.

● Paul Hess made a motion not to exceed $200.00 on Greenway Signs to show no golf carts on Greenway. Tracy Mitchell seconded the motion

● Motion passes 6-0

● Tracy Mitchell made a motion to use the General Fund account for the $34,000.00 and $200.00 for the Local Improvement Bills. Paul Hess seconded the Motion.

● Motion passes 6-0

Jane Miller discussed that the pool season is over, also discussed that she did not have enough guards to cover shifts at the end of the season. Pool will be scrubbed and winter cover put on for the season.

Treasurer’s Report / Payment of Bills

● Tracy Mitchell made a motion to pay the bills. Kari Thompson seconded the motion.

● Motion Passes 6 - 0

Village President

● Randy Gigl passed around Officer Hoaks Resignation. The Village Board thanked him for his time.

o Cathy Dundas made a motion to accept Officer Hoaks resignation. Paul Hess Seconded the motion.

▪ Call of votes motion passed

● Randy Gigl Appointed Johnathon Albright for Assistant Maintenance Director, starting October 1, 2021. Paul Hess made a motion for Johnathon Albright to be hired as Assistant Maintenance Director. Kari Thompson seconded motion.

o Call of votes motion passed

● Randy Gigl Appointed Chief Jim Lehmkuhl back to full time position. Tracy Mitchell made a motion to appoint Jim Lehmkuhl back to his full-time position. Larry Bauer seconded the motion.

o On a call of votes motion passed

● Randy Gigl appointed Tracy Gigl as office assistant. Krystle Sifrit made a motion to hire Tracy Gigl as office assistant. Paul Hess seconded the motion. o On a call of votes motion passed

Concluding Public Questions and Comments

● Tim Kent discussed that last month when he was appointed hours for the Sewer Plant, that it is just not a Sewer Plant. He also helps in other areas of the town, besides the Sewer Plant.

● Kari Thompson made a motion to adjourn. Larry Bauer seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned 8:44 p.m.
