Streator Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement
The Streator Chamber of Commerce and Industry through its Board of Directors announces the retirement of Executive Director Jack Dzuris and the appointment of Courtney Levy as his successor – effective January 31, 2022.
The Chamber commends Dzuris for his work for the Chamber and the legacy that he will be leaving. Dzuris has served the Chamber and Streator Community since October 2009, as well as being an active Board member in the management and organization of the Streator Incubator. Dzuris stated that he will miss the Chamber functions and efforts but noted the time has come to pass the leadership on to another individual and generation – Courtney Levy fills the need for the position. Dzuris was involved in the interviewing process that selected his replacement.
Looking to the future, the Chamber is confident that Levy will continue Dzuris’s success and momentum for the betterment of the Chamber and Streator Community. Levy lives in Streator, Illinois with her husband and 3 children. She is currently the owner of Advertising Specialties, a custom apparel and promotional products company. Levy has a background in accounting with a Masters Degree from NIU in Management Information Systems.
Dzuris and Levy will work together during the month of January to ensure a smooth transition. Levy says one of her first orders of business will be to get out and meet with Chamber Members. She stated that she is excited for what’s ahead for the Chamber and Streator Community.
A celebration of Dzuris’s retirement and Levy’s appointment will be held on Friday, January 21st at the Eastwood in Streator at 5 to 7 p.m.
The Streator Chamber of Commerce & Industry was organized and incorporated for the purpose of serving the needs and concerns of the business community of Streator, Illinois. Located at 320 E.
