Board Member Brian Shofner called the Waltham Elementary School Special Board Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
1, Roll Call: Board Members present: Nicole Mertes, Allison Nichols, Brian Phillips, and Brian Shofner Board Members Absent: Skip DeMaso, Kathy Jereb, and Jim McCabe
Also Present: Mrs. Kristine Eager, Superintendent
Visitors: Mr. Tom Collins (Shaw Media)

2. Accept Bid for Demolition of Waltham North: Brian Phillips moved, second by Nicole Mertes to accept the bid from Fowler Enterprises LLC for the demolition of the Waltham North building located at 946 N. 33rd Road, Utica, IL 61373.
Roll Call Vote: “Yeas” – Nicole Mertes, Allison Nichols, Brian Phillips, and Brian Shofner. “Nays” – None. Motion carried with 4 yeas, 0 nays.
6. Executive Session: Nicole Mertes moved, second by Allison Nichols to adjourn to Executive Session to discuss appointment, employment, compensation, performance, or dismissal of specific personnel at 7:11 p.m. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) Motion carried with 4 yeas, 0 nays.

Motion to Return to Open Session: Brian Phillips moved, second by Allison Nichols to return Regular Session at 7:21 p.m. Motion carried with 4 yeas, 0 nays.

Approve Employment: Brian Phillips moved, second by Allison Nichols to approve the approve the employment of Ms. Jennifer Dischler as Head of Maintenance/Custodian, effective October 26, 2021, with a salary of $25 per hour and the same benefits offered to other Full-Time Support Staff. Motion carried with 4 yeas, 0 nays.
8. Motion to Adjourn: Brian Phillips moved, second by Allison Nichols to adjourn at 7:22 p.m. Motion carried with 4 yeas, and 0 nays.
