Village of Tonica Board of Trustees met Nov. 15.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The regular meeting was called to order by President Kevin Sluder at 7:00 p.m.. Responding to roll call were Mike Supan Jr., Dave Wiesbrock, Bob Folty, Heather Sherman, Tom Goskusky, Robert Steele, Todd Anderson and Jessica Bonnell. Mark Zimmer was absent. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Village Clerk Report - Heather Sherman

• Water meters are currently being read.

• The minutes of October’s meeting were presented and approved.

A motion was made by Todd Anderson and 2nd by Dave Wiesbrock.

Treasurer Report - Jessica Bonnell

• Monthly bills were presented and approved except a bill from Town & Country.

A motion was made by Tom Goskusky and 2nd by Mike Supan Jr.

Police Report - Dave Woolford

• Need to hire another p/t officer and a new police chief.

Water & Sewer/Streets & Alley Report – Jake Summers

• Cleaned the tile out on Peru St.

• Still working on burning the brush piles at the old nursery property.

• Salt has been ordered for winter.

• Had the hydrant by the park fixed.

Engineer’s Report - Jack Kusek

• Opening Tennis Court bids on 11/19.

• Vissering Construction has requested four payments totaling $118,736.10.

Attorney’s Report - Robert Steele

• A motion to pass Ordinance #647 Abatement Ordinance was made by Todd Anderson and 2nd by Mike Supan Jr. A copy of the ordinance is available at the village hall.

Trustee Comments/Complaints

• Should the Village grind a stump from a tree removed in the right of way?

A motion was made by Todd Anderson and 2nd by Dave Wiesbrock to adjourn meeting at 8:10 P.M.
