Report: Streator School District spent $11,102 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Streator Elementary School District 44 was up 4.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the La Salle County school district spent $10,630 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,102 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,767 to 1,615 students over the same period.

Streator's spending in 2019-20 was 23.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
