Report: Streator School District spent $14,528 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Streator Township High School District 40 was up 9.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the La Salle County school district spent $13,214 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,528 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 953 to 833 students over the same period.

Streator's spending in 2019-20 was 0.2 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
