Report: Ohio School District spent $21,742 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Ohio Community Consolidated School District 17 was up 6.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Bureau County school district spent $20,393 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $21,742 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 60 to 70 students over the same period.

Ohio's spending in 2019-20 was 50 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
