Proclaiming April 7, 2022 as Junior Achievement Day in the City of La Salle.

Proclaiming April 10 through April 16 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in the City of La Salle.

DISCUSSION AND POTENTIAL ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING PETITIONS: Request from LP Cavalettes to hold a Tag Day Collection on Saturday, June 25, 2022 and Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the intersection of 11th and Bucklin streets as well as Casey’s General Store, Beck’s and Save-A-Lot and related matters.

Request for a 2022 Raffle License from Hegeler Carus Foundation.

Request for a 2022 Raffle License from SBL Group LLC.

Request for a 2022 Raffle License from Citizens to Elect Greg Vaccaro.

Request of Chico Perez, of Abundant Life Fellowship, for a special event permit to allow the use of City-owned property at 885 Grant Street from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, April 11 2022 for an Easter egg hunt with associated games and related matters.

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Public Grounds & Real Estate Committee regarding a proposal from Kmetz Architects relating to the renovation of the City’s Public Works building, 146 Industrial Drive, and related matters.

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Finance Committee regarding a request from Brandee Bell for a Redevelopment Incentive Program grant totaling $12,500 for premises located at 1157 First Street and related matters.

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Finance Committee regarding proposals for City entry signs and related matters.

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Streets, Alleys and Traffic Committee regarding a request to reduce the speed limit on Richard Hallett Road and related matters.

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Streets, Alleys and Traffic Committee regarding a request to add “No Parking” signs in the south city diamond between Second, Third, Bucklin and Lafayette streets and related matters.

SPECIAL COMMITTEES

Discussion and potential action on the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals regarding a request from Scott Clark, of Jake’s Pour House, for variances including but not necessarily limited to from 25’ side adjacent street setback to 0’ relating to the construction of an outdoor pavilion by the rear of the building and related matters.

OLD BUSINESS

Authorization of Payment to John Pohar & Sons totaling $14,520.00 for work completed to date on the Seventh and Sterling Slide Gate Installation project and related matters.

NEW BUSINESS

Discussion and potential action on amending La Salle City Code Ordinances regarding regulation and licensing of Video Gaming, also Amusement Devices and related matters.

DISCUSSION AND POTENTIAL ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL ORDINANCES/RESOLUTIONS:

An Ordinance authorizing the City of La Salle, La Salle County, Illinois, to borrow funds from the Water Pollution Control Loan Program regarding construction of Wastewater Improvements, also superseding prior Ordinance Number 2914 and related matters.

An Ordinance authorizing variances concerning premises as requested by Scott M. Clark regarding premises at 201 Ninth Street (Jake’s Pourhouse) within the City of La Salle.

COMMENTS

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Regarding pending and/or potentially imminent litigation and related matters: Collective bargaining and related matters, and acquisition and/or sale of city real estate and related matters and the employment, discipline, appointment, performance and/or compensation of non-union and/or union personnel and related matters pursuant to the Open Meetings Act including 5-ILCS 120 Section 2(c)1-2,5,6,11 thereof.
