Alderman Ballard made a motion to approve the Public Services Meeting minutes of January 31, 2022. Alderman Edgcomb seconded the motion; motion carried.

WATER & SEWER
PSM/Fire Chief Jeff King reported the 3-ton truck had arrived and it exceeded expectations.

STREETS & ALLEY
PSM/Fire Chief King reported that as weather improves and good hot patch is available there will a comprehensive plan to fill potholes. PSM/Chief King reported that until then, cold patch will be used and stated it doesn’t stay for long.
ELECTRIC
Human Resource Director Kim Reese reported that 34 applications were received for the apprentice lineman position.

CEMETERY
Clerk Bartley announced spring clean-up will begin on Monday, March 7th and notices have been placed on social media and the newspaper.
Mayor Kolowski reported on exploratory work for removing concrete fencing along Shooting Park Road by the Cemetery and researching replacement options.
PARKS & RECREATION
Adam Thorson, Director of Parks, Recreation and Special Events initiated a discussion to approve purchase of swing set from Cunningham Recreation in the amount of $21,529.83 (Washington Park). Mr. Thorson stated there will be 10 swings, new border around the swing set and mulch.
Adam Thorson, Director of Parks, Recreation and Special Events initiated a discussion regarding a fertilization plan from Advanced Turf Solutions. Mr. Thorson stated he received a quote from Advanced Turf Solutions for a SG52 sprayer/spreader machine for $14,695. Mr. Thorson presented a proposal from D & M Landscaping to apply fertilizer to the ball diamonds. Mr. Thorson stated the labor from D & M Landscaping is $2,310. Mr. Thorson stated in 6 years it would pay for itself. Mr. Thorson stated previous fertilizer vendor was Grainco FS and recommended D & M Landscaping.
Mayor Kolowski asked Mr. Thorson and the committee for permission to set a couple new poles for the small little league diamond. Mayor Kolowski noted he would ask Kye Kaszynski, Electric Department Foreman, to put together a cost estimate and present for approval.

Eric Carls, Director of Engineering and Zoning provided an update on the following projects:

Mayor Kolowsi initiated a discussion regarding Advanced Sanitation porta potty costs and reducing number of units and locations.
Eric Carls, Director of Engineering and Zoning reported the on the Wenzel Road project and favorable bid and contractor, Advanced Asphalt. Mr. Carls stated he will execute alternate options to keep bindings and asphalt grindings.

Mayor Kolowski reported that Lou’s LaGratto has interest in doing a concert in front of the business.
