City of LaSalle Finance Committee met May 2.

Chairman Ptak called the Meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Chairman Ptak, Aldermen Demes, Lavieri, Jeppson
Excused Absence: Alderman Herndon
Others Present: Mayor Jeff Grove, Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Superintendent of Public Works Patrick Watson, Alderman Reynolds, Alderman Bacidore, Economic Developer Director Leah Inman, Finance Director John Duncan, Fire Chief Jerry Janick, Treasurer Virginia Kochanowski, City Attorney James McPhedran, City Engineer Brian Brown.
A quorum was present.
Moved by Alderman Demes and seconded by Alderman Jeppson to approve and place on file the amended minutes of the Finance Committee for April 18, 2022. Each and every alderman has a copy.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Moved by Alderman Lavieri and seconded by Alderman Jeppson to approve the request from Michelle Olson of Starved Rock Rentals for a Redevelopment Incentive Program grant totaling $12,500 for premises located at 503 Third Street.
Chairman Ptak did ask if restrooms were included in the bid and Inman did verify that they were.
AYE: Chairman Ptak, Demes, Lavieri, Jeppson
NAY: NONE
Absent: Alderman Herndon
Abstain: NONE
MOTION CARRIED: 4-0
Moved by Alderman Demes and seconded by Alderman Lavieri to approve the request from Greg Brewer of BB Partners LLC for a Redevelopment Incentive Program grant totaling $8,281.50 for premises located at 821 First Street.
Both Inman and Bader did state this is for the property East of the Maytag Building.

NAY: NONE
Absent: Alderman Herndon
Abstain: NONE
MOTION CARRIED: 4-0
Finance Director Duncan mentioned that there will be an upcoming meeting to discuss appropriations for the upcoming fiscal year.
There were no more questions or comments from the public.
Chairman Ptak adjourned the meeting at 6:04 p.m.
