City of LaSalle Finance Committee met May 16.

Chairman Ptak called the Meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Chairman Ptak, Aldermen Lavieri, Jeppson, Herndon, Demes (arrived at 6:02pm)
Moved by Alderman Lavieri and seconded by Alderman Jeppson to allow for City Attorney James McPhedran to attend remotely.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
ROLL CALL
Present: Chairman Ptak, Aldermen Lavieri, Jeppson, Herndon, Demes Present Remotely (via phone): City Attorney James McPhedran
Absent: NONE
Others Present: Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Superintendent of Public Works Patrick Watson, Alderman Reynolds, Alderman Bacidore, Finance Director John Duncan, Fire Chief Jerry Janick, Treasurer Virginia Kochanowski, City Engineer Brian Brown.
A quorum was present.
Moved by Alderman Demes and seconded by Alderman Lavieri to approve and place on file the minutes of the Finance Committee for May 2, 2022. Each and every alderman has a copy.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Alderman Demes asked how many more payments on the Fire Department Lease. It is an annual lease payment for the 2015 truck. Duncan and Chief Janick both agreed that they thought there were only one to two more payments left.
Moved by Alderman Jeppson and seconded by Alderman Herndon to approve a donation of $250 for a contribution towards the Better Fishing Association of Nothern Illinois Kids’ Programs.

MOTION CARRIED: 5-0
Moved by Alderman Lavieri and seconded by Alderman Jeppson to approve the purchase of a 2022 Dodge Durango of $34,475 for the police Department.
