City of Ottawa Historic Preservation Commission met April 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

Present: George Cary Bob Eschbach, Chris Hasty, Paul Havelka, Lorraine McCallister, Mollie Perrot, Chuck Stanley, Tami Koppen (staff)

Absent: Earle Lecki, David Rabideau

Public Comment. No comments

Minutes. Moved by Bob Eschbach that the minutes for OHPC meeting held on December 9, 2021, be approved. Second by Paul Havelka. All ayes. Motion passed.

Colonnade. No update.

Brick Streets. Suggest adding to the plan the City Council vote for brick street removal.

State Historical Society Grant. Commission discussed dedication ceremony in October. Judge Carter to speak at the event. July starts a new round of state funding.

New Business. 

Certificate of Appropriateness Ordinance. Commission discussed the proposed revisions

East Side Signs. Pearl Street and Green Street has two intersections as the street jogs. An historic street sign was installed at one intersection but not the other. Commission agreed to have one installed at the other intersection.
