Rep. Ryan Spain paid his gratitude to the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police for the support they showed in the General Election.
In an Aug. 15 Facebook post, Rep. Ryan Spain announced a new endorsement.
“Thank you to the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police for their support and endorsement in the General Election," Spain said. "Crime continues to spiral in Illinois while law enforcement recruitment suffers because of the misguided “anything but” SAFE-T Act. Our top priority must be making Illinois a safe and affordable place to live. #RepealHB3653 #BackTheBlue #ILFOPendorsed."
In June, Rep. Ryan Spain ran unopposed to represent the 73rd District.
In mid-June, Spain spoke out on the potential that the state has for economic leadership. “Illinois can become a leader in economic opportunity but that means we have to implement policies that promote investment, encourage innovation, and make life affordable again for all our residents,” Representative Ryan Spain wrote on Facebook.
In May, he spoke about Democrats and campaign finance reform. “Let’s just review the series of events that happened in the Illinois judiciary over the last couple of years,” Spain said on April 8 on the House floor. “In 2020 a sitting Supreme Court justice was not retained for the first time in recent memory, perhaps under the current composition of the court for the last 60 to 70 years. So, in response to that Democrat not being retained, what did the rest of the Democrat leaders do in this state? You went about redistricting the Supreme Court in the state of Illinois. Now here you are making further changes to rig the rules of the game and cheat the system so that it can benefit you in the next election."
