City of LaSalle Finance Committee met June 27.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Chairman Ptak called the Meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Present: Chairman Ptak, Alderman Thompson, Lavieri, Jeppson Excused Absence: Alderman Herndon

Others Present: Finance Director John Duncan, Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Supt. Of Public Works Patrick Watson, Economic Development Director Leah Inman, Alderman Reynolds, Alderman Bacidore, Alderman Crane, Treasurer Virginia Kochanowski

A quorum was present.

Moved by Alderman Thompson and seconded by Alderman Jeppson to approve and place on file the minutes of the Finance Committee for June 13, 2022. Each and every alderman has a copy.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Alderman Lavieri mentioned that he noticed a difference in overtime for the pumps. Overtime has gone down from $4,000 to $330. Supt. Watson confirmed that they pumps are doing what they are supposed to be doing and he has made some changes with the alarms.

Finance Director Duncan reminded the committee that there will be a special finance meeting on Wednesday, June 29th at 6:00pm for the annual Budget Appropriations.

Alderman Lavieri asked if the citizens need to do anything in regards to the Electrical Aggregation coming up July 8th. Duncan and Inman both reminded committee and residents that no action is needed if they want to assume the cheapest rate. Ameren is the cheapest.

There were no more questions or comments from the public.

Alderman Lavieri welcomed Alderman Thompson to the Finance Committee after his appointment by Mayor Grove. Alderman Thompson was appointed at a previous City Council meeting to replace Alderman Demes who resigned.

Moved by Alderman Lavieri and seconded by Alderman Thompson to adjourn the meeting.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Chairman Ptak adjourned the meeting at 6:05
