City of Oglesby City Council met Sept. 6.

7. Approve the consideration of the recommendation of the Planning Commission on a text amendment to the Oglesby Land Development Code to allow “’Freestanding signs” as a permitted use by Special Use Permit in a B-1 Downtown Commercial District and possible approval of that Text Amendment
8. Approve the consideration of the recommendation of the Planning Commission on a request for Special Use Permit by Rita Arteaga for a Freestanding sign at 309 East Walnut Street and possible approval of that Special Use Permit
9. Approve 1189-090622 an Ordinance Amending Section 5.102.010 of the Municipal Code of the City of Oglesby Relating to Video Gaming Terminal Fees.
10. Introduction of Oglesby’s newest Police Officer, Wesley Budach and Oath of Office
11. Approve raffle license application for the Oglesby Firefighter’s Association.
12. Approve request from The Knights of Columbus for a Tootsie Roll Drive to be held on September 17, 2022 at the corners of Columbus and Walnut Streets.
13. Approve request from the Illinois Valley Dolphins Swim Team for a Tag Day to be held on October 1, 2022 at the corners of Columbus and Walnut Streets.
14. Declare the week of September 5th, 2022 as National Payroll Week.
15. Declare the week of September 17th, 2022 as Constitution Week.
16. Authorize Chamlin & Associates to seek bids for clearing trees in order to complete surveying for engineering designs of future Waste Water Treatment Plant.
17. Discuss policy regarding sewer credit policy and procedures.
18. Discuss increasing liquor licenses for potential liquor stores.

23. Closed Session - 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1) “The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline.
