City of LaSalle Street, Alleys, and Traffic Committee met July 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Chairman Bacidore called the Meeting to order at 6:10 pm

ROLL CALL

Present: Chairman Bacidore, Aldermen Ptak, Reynolds, Lavieri, Jeppson, Herndon Absent: Alderman Crane

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion is carried.

Others Present: Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Supt. Of Public Works Patrick Watson, Treasurer Virginia Kochanowski, Fire Chief Jerry Janick, City Engineer Brian Brown, Alderman Thompson, Economic Development Director Leah Inman, City Attorney James McPhedran

A quorum was present.

Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Herndon to approve and place on file the minutes of the Finance Committee for July 11, 2022. Each and every alderman has a copy.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Chairman Bacidore began the discussion in regards to the “Handicapped Parking” spot in front of 425 First. The owner was asking for the first stall next to the drive into the Dr. Clinic parking lot to be the stall where he would like the sign to go. This would allow anyone with a wheelchair to access the driveway to the clinic or the sidewalk the easiest.

Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Jeppson to accept the recommendation regarding adding a “Handicapped Parking” space in front of 425 First Street.

AYE: Aldermen Bacidore, Ptak, Reynolds, Lavieri, Jeppson, Herndon

NAY: None

Absent: Alderman Crane Abstain: None

MOTION CARRIED: 7-0

There were no more questions or comments from the public.

Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Ptak to adjourn the meeting.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Chairman Ptak adjourned the meeting at 6:13 p.m.
