Public Comment: Bob Anderson presented a letter to the Commission from AFSCME.
Moved by John Armstrong, second by Richard Nesti that the minutes of the October 4, 2022 meeting be approved as written. All ayes. Motion passed.
Moved John Armstrong, second by Rich Nesti to adjourn into executive session at 8:19 a.m. to discuss personnel (5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1).

Disciplinary Action
Moved by Jim Reilly, second by John Armstrong that pursuant to the current AFSCME collective bargaining agreement and the current Civil Service Rules XI (f) and (p) Aaron Gretencord’s employment with the City is terminated as of October 27, 2022. All ayes. Motion passed.
Election of President
Moved by John Armstrong, second by Rich Nesti that Jim Reilly is appointed as Chairman of the Commission. All ayes. Motion passed.
Discussion: Consideration of Abolishing Civil Service Commission
Brief discussion regarding the previous letter sent to the City Council regarding abolishing Civil Service Commission. Comment was made that this topic should not remain as an open discussion for future meetings.
Bob Anderson provided the Commission with a memo from the year 2000 that contained a brief history of the Civil Service Commission.
