No questions on the bills.
Pro-Tem Chairman Lavieri had a question regarding a bill of $11,500 to repair a fence at the water plant but noticed a later reference said installation of a new fence.
Superintendent of Public Works Patrick Watson was unavailable, but City Engineer Brian Brown said he believed that reflected an expanded driveway requiring the installation of part of a new fence to connect to an old fence.
No discussion was had under Old Business.
Alderman Jeppson asked City Engineer Brown where the funding was coming from for work on Chartres Street from Pershing Road to Raccuglia Drive. Brown said, similar to Crosat Street, it will be funded 80% through the federal government and 20% from the City of La Salle. Brown said because La Salle has over 5,000 residents it receives roughly $100,000 or $120,000 annually towards streets known as federal aid routes.
Brown estimated it will cost roughly $600K to complete and around $125K will come from the City’s REBUILD Illinois (RBI) funds.
There were no more questions or comments from the public.
Moved by Alderman Jeppson and seconded by Alderman Herndon to adjourn the meeting.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Pro-Tem Chairman Lavieri adjourned the meeting at 6:07 p.m.
