Q1 2022 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Grundy County?

There were five offenders living in Grundy County released on parole during the first quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Illinois Valley Times.

The data shows four men and one woman were released in Grundy County. The median age of the parolees was 45. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2021, and the oldest was a 51-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2022.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Lester S. Bushue. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2021 when he was 49 years old. He is now 51.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2022 in each Grundy County.
