Illinois Valley Times

There were 22 offenders living in Lasalle County released on parole during the second quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Illinois Valley Times.

The data shows 19 men and three women were released in Lasalle County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 37. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2021, and the oldest was a 57-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2021.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Aries Williams. He was convicted of a property crime in 2014 when he was 22 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
