Illinois Valley Times

There were 26 offenders living in Lasalle County released on parole during the third quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Illinois Valley Times.

The data shows 24 men and two women were released in Lasalle County. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2021, and the oldest was a 58-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Luke A. Raley. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2011 when he was 33 years old. He is now 45.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
