City of Peru Fire and Police Committee met March 13

ROLL CALL: Aldermen Edgcomb and Tieman present; Alderman Buffo absent; Mayor Kolowski present.

OTHER PERSONS PRESENT: Aldermen Waldorf, Lukosus and Payton

MINUTES

Alderman Tieman made a motion to approve the Police and Fire Committee Minutes of February 27, 2023. Alderman Edgcomb seconded the motion; motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

None

NEW BUSINESS

Police Chief Sarah Raymond stated all vehicles will be equipped the bag for water rescue. Chief Raymond explained throw bags are important rescue devices used by specially trained emergency response personnel to reach victims during still water and swift water rescues. 

Chief Raymond reported on the Offender Watch Program designed for public interaction and identifies various offenders.

Alderman Edgcomb made a motion to adjourn. Mayor Kolowski seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at 6:56 p.m.
