City of LaSalle Street, Alleys and Traffic Committee met April 17

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

ROLL CALL

Present: Chairman Bacidore, Aldermen Reynolds, Jeppson, Crane

Absent: Alderman Ptak, Lavieri, Herndon

Others Present: Others Present: Finance Director John Duncan, Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Alderman Bob Thompson, City Building Inspector Andy Bacidore, Economic Development Director Curt Bedei, Director of Public Works Patrick Watson, Fire Chief Jerry Janick, City Treasurer Virginia Kochanowski

A quorum was present.

Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Crane to approve the minutes from April 3, 2023.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Crane to approve the request from the owner of 851 First St. to remove a “Handicap Parking” sign from in front of the address.

Deputy Bader that the city did put a letter out regarding this topic. They have not received word back from any residents for or against. He also mentioned that Alderman Ptak was in communications with the owner of 851 First St. to remove the handicap sign. Alderman Reynolds remembers that there the handicap stalled was rarely used when the previous business at 851 First St. was open. 

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Deputy Clerk Bader mentioned that he is a little behind on work orders from the last few meetings and will get those orders processed and they will be caught up.

There were no more questions or comments from the public.

Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Crane to adjourn the meeting.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Chairman Bacidore adjourned the meeting at 6:09m
