City of LaSalle Street, Alleys and Traffic Committee met June 12.

Chairman Bacidore Called the Meeting to order at 6:17pm
ROLL CALL
Present: Chairman Bacidore, Aldermen Ptak, Reynolds, Lavieri (present remotely), Herndon, Crane
Excused Absence: Alderman Jeppson
Others Present: Others Present: Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Economic Development Director Curt Bedei, Director of Public Works Patrick Watson, Fire Chief Jerry Janick, City Treasurer Virginia Kochanowski, City Building Inspector Andy Bacidore, City Attorney James McPhedran (arrived at 6:15pm), Alderman Thompson
A quorum was present.
Moved by Alderman Herndon and seconded by Alderman Reynolds to allow Alderman Lavieri to attend meeting remotely.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Crane to approve the minutes from May 30, 2023.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
One resident did call in regards to the request for the three-way stop at Sycamore and Argyle. She stated to Deputy Clerk Bader that she did not see a need for a three-way stop.
Alderman Bacidore stated that this has been brought up a few other times.
Moved by Alderman Ptak and seconded by Alderman Reynolds to deny the request to create a three-way stop at Sycamore and Argyle roads.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Alderman Crane mentioned that the city did hear back from Ameren in regards to the cost for lights to be added to Richard Hallett Road. The quote was for $3,087.50 for five lights, every other pole, from Utica/LaSalle line (LaSalle’s portion of the curve) to Rt. 6.
Alderman Herndon suggested not adding it to the agenda but taking a straw vote tonight to push this to get added to Ameren’s work orders, rather than pushing this topic off another two weeks. Herndon stated that this will not happen as soon as possible anyway, but to get the work order pushed through.
Chairman Bacidore asked for a straw vote and all Alderman (Chairman Bacidore, Aldermen Ptak, Reynolds, Lavieri (present remotely), Herndon, Crane) were in favor of Ameren quote/project and will be formally voted on in two weeks at the Streets, Alley, and Traffic Committee meeting.
There were no more questions or comments from the public.
Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Jeppson to adjourn the meeting.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Chairman Bacidore adjourned the meeting at 6:23pm
