Mr. Thorson commented on the need to smooth out the soccer field at Veteran’s Park. Mr. Thorson noted Sportsfields Inc. could help with that, but the cost was significant. Adam Thorson, Director of Parks, Recreation and Special Events reported he is still waiting on the Sunset Park playground install.

Adam Thorson, Director of Parks, Recreation and Special Events informed the Council that he will be meeting with Pistol Shrimp personnel on October 10, 11 and 12. Mayor Kolowski stated that he had received complaints about a theme night. Police Chief Sarah Raymond said an officer was present at all games and she never heard of any issues. Chief Raymond asked Mayor Kolowski if there was a specific theme night that he had heard about. Mayor Kolowski answered Pride Night. Alderman Payton immediately stated the City supports all groups and is inclusive. Mayor Kolowski asked if there were any groups the Council would oppose, like BLM.
