Minutes
Moved by Annette Barr, second by Anna Wright, to approve the minutes of the meeting on 10/2/23. All ayes. Motion passed.
New Business
Secretary Appointment:
Appointed Anna Wright to secretary of Art Committee
Moved by Amanda Weygand, second by Ryan Searle, to approve the appointment of Anna Wright to secretary on 10/16/23.
All ayes. Motion passed.
Chris Kringle
Need a space for artist pop-up market.
Committee members will reach out to various contacts to inquire about obtaining a space for the four weekends of the market/
Will need liability and contract agreement for artists.
The committee will appoint an event coordinator for the market.
This person will be responsible for assigning the artists through the application process. Once the space is identified, the committee will propose a budget for the event. Need an email for Art Committee to use for Chris Kringle applications.
Wine & Art Walk will be having its 8th year.
If the organizers no longer do event, the arts council would consider absorbing this event and the funds that the event has raised over the previous 7 and upcoming 8th year.
Community Outreach:
The Arts Committee is looking to create a Christmas Tree for the upcoming Chris Kringle Market.
Will need a public space for the tree.
Asking for donations from the public for soda bottles.
Will be sending a press release separately to ask the city to assist in donations. Discussion:
