Motion to authorize the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners to hire selected candidate as a lateral entry.

Motion to authorize the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners to maintain current primary and lateral entry eligibility lists and the ability to hire from such lists when a vacancy occurs.

Motion to approve quote from J&M Displays for fireworks display at the TBM Avenger and Salute to Veterans event on May 17th for an amount not-to-exceed $15,000. (Rain date of May 18th)

PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS

ITEM NO. 1 Communication from Beth Shaw of the University of Illinois Extension 4-H requesting to hold a dog show on the grassy area on the west side of Baker Lake on June 22 from 9am-1pm. Expect no more than 20-25 participants and will clean up the park. (The dog show will highlight youth and their canines in several areas-obedience, showmanship, rally and dog care)

ITEM NO. 2 Communication from Brandy Salz of James Hardie Building Products requesting permission to hold a car show and band at Centennial Park on June 29th from 9am-5pm; permission to increase 65 dba sound limit during day hours.

ITEM NO. 3 Communication from Andrew and Janelle Buck seeking variances from the Zoning Ordinance for the property located at 19 Gunia Avenue.
