Discuss Water Loss

Public Works Temporary Supervisor Larry Grachan stated that Coal City will shut down their b-box which is located one up from the one which we cannot turn/shut off. This will determine if the one in question is open or closed. No matter the outcome, the village will disconnect it and install a flush hydrant at that location. This will be coordinated with Coal City. Commissioner Warner would like to know the outcome once it is completed.

Address Speeders Coming Out of Trailer Park

Mayor Kernc welcomed Mr. Schnidt to the meeting. Schnidt stated his wife wanted to know what the board’s decision would be regarding this subject matter. Kernc stated Mrs. Schnidt contacted the village hall stating the vehicles leaving the trailer park are coming down her street to avoid the speed bumps which are installed on the other end of the road. Schnidt told Kernc she was almost hit by a speeding car since the vehicles were speeding down other roads to avoid the speed bumps. Schnidt requested speed bumps be installed at all three roads which feed into and out of the trailer park. Kernc would like to have feedback from the board about this. Commissioner Kasher and Warner were in favor of the installation of the temporary speedbumps at all locations along with the delineators. A consensus was reached to move forward with the installation. Grachan will order additional speed bumps.
