A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to Seneca Grade School on January 28, 2025, by the Illinois Valley Times. The media organization has requested copies of all emails and memos from the past year that contain the keywords "Lucy Calkins" and "Units of Study".
The Illinois Valley Times is a news outlet committed to providing comprehensive and accurate coverage of local governmental affairs. As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability, we are seeking these records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140.
We believe that access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities, which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we have requested a fee waiver as a media professional.
